Doesn't it scare creationists to find that god is lying to us by making the universe look incredibly old?

Modern physics is pretty much based on this. As of today, there is no evidence of the contrary.

You tell me . Though one wonders why God would create the world with the illusion of age. Is he trying to trick us?

Analysis of the geological column, radiometric dating of the fossils found in it, that kind of stuff.

Same problem: why does God create the appearance of an old earth?
And do we have any evidence that the mountains were flat a couple thousand years ago?

The Tunguska meteor pales in comparison to the size of some of the craters found on earth. It was estimated at releasing 5-30 megatons of energy. Compare that to some of the craters found here:

I mean the Tunguska meteor demonstrates the awesome power that a strike can have but it's nothing comared to some of Earth's pockmarks.

And maybe the meteors hit while the earth was still brand spankin' new, before there were people, or only a few.

One could ask why God would create an adult male, and an adult female in Adam and Eve. When they were 2 days old they likely looked to be at least teenagers.

It can be inferred from that stuff. I honestly don't know the science behind the dating methods, but I would question the possibility that maybe scientists have simply made an error on it, and keep building on that error.

Do we have any evidence they were flat a couple million years ago? We don't know how long it took to get to where they are now.

Some of these young Earthers answer are seriously delusional and hilarious!!!!!!!!!! Maybe scientists made an error and keep building on it?!! More like young Earthers have made a mistake and keep building on it. Thats all you have? And Wikipedia is one of the least reliable sources on the internet, you do know that ANYONE can edit the info right?

It's amazing how your god's superpowers fluctuate in your little fairytale. Oh yes, he can cause the mountains to rise, and the continents to move at breakneck speed, yet he needs an old man to build an ark in order to save a few "kinds" of animals, and a 150 day flood to kill off a few million primates.

Only in your world...
