The choices are too limiting, with far too many degrees of seperation between them. My thoughts on the bible are in the middle there somewhere, as are those of most liberal Christians. I would say about the Bible: It is a collection of books written by dozens of authors over hundreds of years and has been subject to many translatiions. It is mainly a book of poetry and allegory and symbolism, written by a nomadic but largely illiterate people in their attempts to explain their od experience. It is NOT a history book, and to take it as such is to miss the point entirely. It is almost certainly NOT the inerrant word of God.
I often find it sadly ironic that biblical literists get LESS out of the bible than do us liberal Christians. See, we see it and apprciate its beauty and poetry and mythology, all of which can often be BIGGER than reality. Whereas you guys read it like a DMV rule book. Too bad.
Peace.

The bible is a book... I don't hate objects. It just is what it is.

I have one in my library. It's right next to the Quran, The Communist Manifesto, Mein Kamph, The Book of Mormon, The Anarchist Cookbook and others on my "controversial books" shelf. Everyone of them is trying to sell the reader a philosophy of life, but an important skill of an intelligent reader is to recognize when one is being manipulated. It's actually quite interesting to analyze how it's done. But I dont' hate the book. The solution to manipulation is education, not censorship, fear or hate.

What you didn't see was that he was passing the Clampetts' truck which was traveling at a swift 12 MPH.

I believe.. (and troop correct me if I'm wrong) that they were doing road work as you entered on the bridge in the right hand lane.. I see a faint hint of orange ahead of me..

or

.. looks like there might have been traffic that I was passing..

either way i was right..

I'm always right..

always..

I suppose it's OK where you are because you can pass on either side can't you? Here, we can only pass to the left and you get stuck behind some dork driving in the left lane when the inside lane is empty. Infuriating!!

I only go over the bridge when I want to go into West Memphis, Arkansas to meet lot lizards at the world's largest truck-stop. I usually take the "Old Bridge" on my way into lot-lizard territory so I'm not too familiar with the construction that's being done on the other bridge.
