"Sheesh" to me is an exclamation meaning Jesus Christ, but I use it so as not to offend...

( People have been known to get offended on occaision)

"Sheesh", what is wrong with saying that???? I don't consider it to mean derogatory things to God or /Christ; I think that it recognizes that I am always thinking about him in my thoughts!

"Sheesh!" it's late....

bye

I have been known to throw out a "Holy Moly!" or a "Geez Louise!" or just "geez!" for short. So my bad too.

I have never heard of "sheesh" being wrong or anything even close. I consider it to be something like
PULEEEAASE...give me a break
or
rolling the eyes and saying "whatever"

I really have never thought it to be anything close to saying God's (Jesus') name in vain by no means.

Well to be fair, in Arabic there is a word known as "baksheesh". But that means bribe money.

I'm talkin' about the Texas saying that sounds like "SHEESH"! Even the Mexicans use the term. But it is a short form of the word Jesus. At least we are talking about him while we are workin'.

I honestly had NO idea "sheesh" was in any way related to Jesus or God... Of course, it's a moot point in my case, considering the potty mouth I have - LOL.
