Is sex only for procreation?

For some odd reason I thought I had read that "Myth" somewhere in my life, but obviously I was Wrong...and this is one time, that I can say, I am Definitely Glad that I was Wrong!!

Ever wonder why, if sex in any form except between a married man and woman is evil, did God make it feel so good no matter how ya do it? Hmmmm....

God gave each man a woman and each woman a man in the God ordained institute of marriage.
I believe somewhere in the Old Testament there was something about sex being primarily for procreation...however, it is said in the New Testament that it is good for a man to remain abstinet, but let him have a wife in order to forsake adultery and fornication

Good post, Kawg. I would say though that I am personally unaware of any scripture in the Old Testament either that would say sex was just for procreation. There is the story about Onan who "spilled his seed" on the ground and God was displeased, but as I understand it, God was displeased because Onan was supposed to be trying to impregnate his dead brother's wife whom he had married and he refused to do so ...at least that's how I remember the story. Sometimes people will cite this story as evidence for sex approved for procreation only.
