How many threads does it take to discuss a 6,000 year creation? (quote, verse)

Sounds like the lightbulb riddle. On the other subfourums, threads are being merged all the time, even with somewhat different foci. But here they are just free flowing. Just recently we are seeing a flood of the same topic. 6-day or 6,000 year. Can we consolidate all of these?

We can, but it's going to take either six days or 6,000 years to accomplish. The actual time frame is subject to debate.

I have to agree, but reading the comments of the fundamentalists is entertaining. Something like the multiple threads under Hobbies concerning firearms, topped off by the one asking if anyone is interested in guns.

I guess it depends on whom is moderating. I posted a comment on a music thread. I scanned the forum few a few pages of postings to see if one recently had touched on the same topic. I didn't see one for a few pages and went ahead and posted. First message out of the box, "Do we really need another thread on this?" Within 5 minutes it was merged into a much more generalize and quite a bit older thread. Poof.
