Are you in a state where it's legal with a Rx? I wouldn't be happy with the smell, and it seems rude, but is it a reason for you to leave? Because that's likely your best option.

I HIGHLY doubt it's from an RX. Today, it was the adult son who sits at home all day and does nothing. I looked out and he was sitting there in plain site smoking from his pipe. I suspect one of the parents smokes too. I could care less what they are doing. But, their patio is right next to our bedroom window and I have a toddler and I am pregnant. I like leaving the windows open, you know..

The RXs in CA are an absolute joke. Anyone can get one. It annoys me--I'd rather they just legalize it instead of letting everyone wink and nod that they have a legitimate need.
I'm not disagreeing with you, but if they own and are renting to you, you're going to make them angry if you complain in all likelyhood. If you have a lease with significant time left, and are unprepared for the expense of early termination, than proceed with caution.
I had the neighbors from hell last year, that were using/dealing heroin. They smoked pot as well, and my LL even caught them, and did nothing--many people don't consider it a big deal anymore. I'm in escrow for a SFH so that I no longer have to share walls or a yard with anyone...
I would move if it were me. If they are doing that, especially so openly...You just never know who their friends are or what else you might be subjected too. Being pregnant, you really don't want that second hand smoke. Do some research. It can't be a good environment for your toddler or your fetus. According to one article in the links below, second hand smoke can show up in a drug test. Since you are pregnant having urine tests, etc. and with the child endangerment laws involving alcohol and drugs, you may want to think about the risks. If you are smelling it that heavily, you obviously are breathing in second hand smoke. Good luck on this. Second Hand Marijuana Smoke Worried About 2nd Hand Marijuana Smoke

I agree with JanND. It would bother me a lot, as does any smoke. And I would be worried about secondhand effects on your unborn child as well as your young child who is still developing. Move.
Use an exhaust fan blowing out toward the offending patio until you can figure out how you can move. You're not going to change anything with the landlord, so you either deal with it or move.

You've been watching Reefer Madness and taking it seriously. Potheads are generally pretty mellow.
