I'm very sensitive to smells.

How long should it take (approx.) for a new paint smell to leave an apt?

Same for a strong smell of cleaned/waxed parquet floors?

Thank you.

Open the windows and get a fan.

After I move in, but I'm not there now and won't be for a few weeks.

Thank you, my question remains how long it approximately takes for these smells to go.

There is no one size fits all answer. Depends on air flow in the unit, type of paint used, etc. Under normal circumstances and with good air flow any odor should be well dissipated in a few weeks.

I'd allow a week. Faster if you can open the windows, run a fan, and have good air flow.

A lot longer than that if the building is closed up tight.
