Sorry, OP, but you admit that you more than the normal amount of books, dvds and computers. Sounds like you're either a hoarder or a collector.

I'm just curious as to why you want to escalate this to the court level. Sure, you can file a claim/sue anyone for just about anything, but do you really think you're going to win something here? The judge would laugh you out of court.

You got a notice to clean up your place, not a notice to vacate so calm down. I suggest you ask your manager to come to your unit to discuss their concerns. If you want to fill your own home to brim with crap, go for it. This isn't your house and you do not have a right to fill the unit to the brim with your crap.

You can also rent a small storage unit for them! I had a neighbor in another apt complex that did that. Keeping them in the apt makes it a Fire Hazard! & Book make great nesting places for Bugs!

I'd love to hear the landlord's side of this.

old tenant, what is the landlord trying to do? Evict you? Not renew your lease?
The link goes to this thread....What is your point?

This is a lie. I demanded that mngr come to my unit and show me this garbage. Of course there was no garbage. My unit is the same as it has been since I moved in here. Ive lived here 8 years and it has always been the same. Ive had regular inspection my unit is always found in decent living order.

I have a library of books, dvd library, and computers. More stuff than many. This all neat on shelves stored properly. Why would they lie about this. There is nothing in my unit that resembles trash, waste or garbage. Nor has there ever been. Can I file a complaint with the courts?
How did you receive a letter from management re: the condition of your dwelling if you had to have management come back to see that management was lying?

I think the OP is wearing rose colored glasses and doesn't see his hoarding/collecting as an issue. However, landlords and insurance companies think hoarding/collecting is an issue..and it is. (not that you're not aware of this, of course)

I'm guessing someone from the complex/company had to have been in the unit to see the 'stuff' which promoted the letter.

I've watched "Hoarding" on tv enough times to see that hoarders do not see their hoarding and think it's ok to have floor to ceiling piles of crap/trash/junk/ etc. Maybe that's what's up with the OP.
