Chart is WRONG! My score was ZERO! I still managed to rent.... o that also included the bank selling the property on the courthouse steps! Several years of owing Back Fed & State Taxes!
I don't think it goes lower than 300, and you'll need to be in bankruptcy to go to 300.

A zero FICO is impossible. It starts at 300. You can have no credit, which is different than a credit score of zero (which is impossible). back at ya.
My cut off is 660. Anything below that does not rent with me. I think every LL has to make their own guidelines about this. Some don't pull credit at all. I don't put up signs in the space-- I only advertise online or on bulletin boards at local employers or universities. I do not want any renters who are not working. I don't want anyone with bad credit. I don't want anyone who can't use a computer as my payment is done electronically through a rental website. No dogs, etc.

Paying rent online is such a wonderful thing after all those years of buying stamps to stand in line at the post office.

This. If the credit agencies cannot find sufficient (or any) history from which to calculate a score then the response would be 'No score available,' or similar verbiage. There is no 'zero' score.
