Well, 'marital status' is actually one of those things that is illegal to discriminate against in most states. It may indeed be a headache for the landlord but that doesn't change the protection under the law. Landlords can't refuse to rent to applicants simply because they are unmarried.
But honestly as others have said, you do seem to have a sketchy profile. No rental history, no jobs, sketchy job history, poor credit. A bank statement really means nothing--that money could disappear tomorrow. And paying for six months or a year upfront means the landlord has no recourse if you prove to be a problem tenant.
At an absolute minimum, expect to pay a substantial deposit, and you may need a parent cosigner.
