I have had issues with extremely noisy neighbors below me and have formally complained about it. After many Police calls and warnings from the management, it still is going on. The complex is a housing coop and the manager is having a hearing with them regarding this issue. The leaseholder of the noisy apartment is a member of the coop, but his loud roommate is not on the lease. I am on section 8, as I said, the apartments are coop, but rent to about 15 section eight tenants. My question is, do I need to have a lawyer with me at the hearing and do I even need to attend? The manager said I should be there. I have never had an issue like this in an apartment before, therefore I do not know what I need to do. I have all my written evidence etc. Thanks.
