Whatever that study was that came out in the seventies that basically said young women were screwed because out of ten men, one would be gay, three would be alcoholic, five would be married, and the one left over would be a real weird-o, should try finding eligible older men who are not impotent, alcoholic, ravaged by time, criminals, married, dead, unattractive, unclean, or into teenagers, etc., etc. at this point in the game.

There are some of us older men who do not have any of the "defects" you describe, that are very happy without woman. We need not the company of woman to make us relevant to ourselves or to others. We are independent and some of us are called, "Bachelors". A term which has been superseded by the word "Single" as we always have to be denoted to be against the society's idea that the acceptable situation is that is better to be a "Double".
I for one, find woman very attractive who do not define their life as needing and looking for a man. They are independent, self assured, mature, experienced and well educated. I am not interesting in forming a "Double" with them because these "Bachelor Woman" are already complete; and, as such, I do find them interesting in group social events.

No doubt true. Misandry isn't real popular among men.
