That's a great idea. Many cities also have some type of Megabus/CheapIntercitybus. You haven't lived a full life until you get on a cramped, crowded bus that picks you up on a street corner in one big city at 6 PM and drops you off at another street corner, in the dark, in a sketchy neighborhood, at midnight in another big city. Make sure to carry your pepper spray!
