This is the original beagle hound, just happened to find this old post. I’m now 73 and been retired since 2016. I was 65 when I quit working, and yes $550,000 has definitely been enough. I’ve hardly touched the original amount other than the required withdrawal for a couple years. Not bragging but it’s about doubled, would never have thought that. My wife retired at the start of COVID, at 62. We had to get Obamacare and pay for that for 3 years but wasn’t too bad. I started SS at 66 which was my FRA and wife did at 65. We had the 50 acres that we sold and supplemented our income with that for awhile, which certainly helped. We both have good health that we’re really grateful for, so many we know don’t. We’ve traveled some and done most of what we planned on. I know things can change in a heartbeat, been really blessed so far. Anyway, someone asked if it was enough, just wanted to say I’ve learned a lot from you guys. Good luck too all, almost seems like I know some of you
