the obama plans are pretty much pay as you go. i have a gold plan.

you have both a deductable ,copays and out of pockets.

the basic insurance is pretty low. full health insurance was about 13k for a us .

now basic insurance is about 6k a year with a 250/500 deductable and 3k/6k out of pockets.

basic insurance covers your primary doctor visits and check ups.

that is subject to a deductable and co-opay .

but if you need a specialist or certain tests out of a hospital each visit is 75 bucks up to the 3k out of pocket.

the hospital is where it gets fun. use a hospital either in or out and 20% of the bill is yours to pay up to 3k.

now that is my gold plan since we have far better terms since it is a small business plan through work and not an individual.

depending on level of plan a person can pay 6500/12800 out of pocket.

if you use little in the way of services you will do better than prior. if you use alot of hospital services you will pay more.
