Before you retired did you work non stop from your 20s?

I started working part-time for my father at 14 and am now working part-time in retirement at 60. I had a couple of periods of unemployment (the first, in my early 20s, was also a period of drifting around and seeing the country). I worked full time from age 24 to 55 - which is enough! Part time and being my own boss is better, but I wouldn't have been able to do that without 30 years of experience in the corporate and nonprofit world.
