I officially retired July 1, 2015. Have until next June to hit 62.
I read this particular Forum to learn about Podiatrists who make house calls for toenail trimming (and anyone who has had a relative in a nursing home knows what I'm talking about).
I have at least 6 years until I can retire. Actually, that is when I want to retire. However, I may be retiring soon. Still thinking about giving the store 1 more year to see what happens.
60-year old man who sees a 16-year old kid when looking in the mirror, who previously announced age 70 was my retirement goal but now states age 65 and it may be sooner due to spouse health-issues. For me, retirement may be scaling down what I do to a small level rather than pull the plug entirely. It doesn't have to be "all or nothing" for me.
I'm 70, retired twice, once at 62.5 and once at 65. Hated it both times and it was not good for my health. I will probably work for another 2-5 years and see how I feel at that time.
58 forcibly retired coming end of March 2016. No prospects in employment to keep me full time. I will just have to make do until FRA.
