Obamacare has failed. Rather than wait until it totally collapses (two or three years), let the Republicans replace it. Then we are set for single payer in the future. Obamacare is the enemy of single payer. If Obamacare had allowed the Public Option, Obamacare could have survived in a modified form. Cutting the insurance companies out of the process, saves a large amount of GDP, and also makes American companies more competitive. The Public Option would have cut the insurance companies out of health care, which would have been very very good. Realize though, while companies no longer would pay for health care, individual tax rates would have to rise to pay for single payer. There is no free lunch.

Replacing Obamacare with Ryancare is only going to amplify the flaws of the original scheme. It solves nothing. We need to start over.
I hope he does too, for the sake of current and future enrollees!
Obamacare extended the solvency of Medicare through 2030, but Ryan & Co pulled out roughly $600 million from Trumpcare, so that now Medicare is solvent to 2028. Ryan would like to eliminate both Medicare (and Social Security) and give everyone "vouchers" to buy health insurance. Try to buy chemotherapy with a voucher...
Fortunately, that bill won't pass on Thursday. But, they'll try again.
It's ridiculous because you want to complain instead of trying to understand the bill. Guess what under Obamacare, my kid was supposed to get subsidy and she got none, now that is real RIDICULOUS, not fake one.
Ahh the source of the bitterness is you couldn't figure out how to sign up correctly.

Yep! Can't wait for the "do over" they have come up with.
In this new dealie we'll have some subsidies to help people pay, but won't really check if they actually need them. We'll also impose financial incentive to punish people who don't sign up for insurance and maintain continuous coverage. Since last version "didn't help a lot of people" we'll make so 20 million less people have insurance.
Was the "RIGHT" to healthcare snuck into the constitution recently?
Why does it have to be in the Constitution? It is just plain human decency. And if you are not a fan of decency, then having a healthy, educated populace is fundamental to a capable workforce. And without a capable work force, our economy will wither. This is what separates first world, developed nations from third-world, undeveloped nations - first world has robust economies and a high standard of living. They also (with the exception of the USA) have universal health care. So, are you thinking the US would be better off to be a 3rd-world country?
Here is something interesting i just viewed on MSNBC. Last night Congressman Massey, a Republican from Kentucky was interviewed and he said that he received 275 calls from his constituents asking him to vote NO on the ACHA and only 4 calls asking for a YES vote. Wow. So he said he is paying attention to those calls, not so much to his fearless leader Trump with his threats that Massey could lose his congressional seat. Our voices do matter!
