I disagree with the premise ....'do you have trouble slowing down..." As if people OUGHT to slow down. I am in the camp of, Use It or Lose It. The only people in my age bracket (mid 60s) that I know well that are having health issues are those who did SLOW down.
No. After I retired I was able very easily to slow down. There's time now, time enough at last.
For some reason I'm remembering an old Twilight Zone episode by that title. Was it the one where Burgess Meredith finally had time to read and broke his glasses (and oh yes, there was that nuclear war)?

Forced to retire. Health. Past most of that and I find myself doing things around the house because I can't sit still for long. Sooner or later there won't be anything to do.

Here's what I meant by trouble in the title that I tried to illustrate in the OP.
When I worked, I was always stressed out over all the deadlines and commitments. I felt rushed all the time. It was affecting my health.
Once I retired and lost the pressure, I still feel the need to hurry through everything I do, out of habit - even though I have nobody hovering over me to get the tasks done.
Don't get me wrong - I do have quite a busy life with many activities in retirement, but I still approach everything with that same feeling of "rush rush rush" habit I've had trouble shaking.
So I wondered if I'm alone, thus the question.
