Does anyone have any experience with night vision technology? I’ve been looking at this:

I know some Cadillac and BMW models have night vision systems built into the car; I was hoping to find something I can easily add.

my sister's friend wears sunglasses at night due to the HID headlights and her inability to see after passing them.
sort of like a "flash" camera with central blindness lasting seconds. the cheap sunglasses have been her salvation.

This sounds pretty scary to me. If I had to wear sun glasses at night in order to see, I'd stop driving if at all possible. How do you have the ability to see a person in dark clothing crossing the street or a parked car?

If I'm driving in an area that has a lot of lights and so a lot of glare, I wear night driving glasses, like this:

OK, that makes more sense. They are made for night driving, not regular sun glasses.

My wife wears these for night driving and swears by them. She also wears them for the glare when the sun is going down.

After I got cataract surgery, the glare was barely there at all at night anymore.

I had some kind of coating added to my last pair of glasses that helps cut down night driving glare. I noticed a positive difference.

Huge difference for me, I had all but given up driving at night and dreaded the late afternoons in winter when I had to drive due west.
