Do you seek out and enjoy being with highly educated people? I enjoy the mental stimulation and challenge of being with intelligent, erudite and culturally sophisticated people. It adds spice to life. Having worked in media most of my life, I find myself still gravitating towards creative people who work in theater and other theatrical endeavors.

I think most people enjoy being around people who are similar to them.

I find we all excell in some areas and are weak in others So formal education counts for little in my choice of friends

I have always found that higher education goes hand in hand with less common sense. I'll take common sense any day.

my preference is for creative people. Much more fun than stuffy ol' academicians (and I mean that in the nicest way)

I wouldn't say "highly educated" but rather people I can learn from and, hopefully, they can learn something from me. I have a good friend who isn't highly educated but she is skilled at so many things I am always learning something from her.

I value common sense highly as well. When I say highly educated people, I'm not necessarily talking about college graduates. I am talking about people with a thirst for knowledge, however it may have been obtained. There are autodidacts who continue to educate themselves and learn without the benefit of being in a classroom. Believe me, I don't like the way colleges are brainwashing young people these days.

I enjoy being around highly intelligent people. Not quite the same as highly educated. If they are highly educated and highly intelligent that's great.

You jumped from highly educated to creative. While being creative is a trait of many intelligent people, in itself it doesn't mean much.
