Do like I did. Buy a condo! I live right on the line between Western Cranston and Johnston. It's a nice area and i found a great little condo (I don't have kids) for only $211! All my snow is shoveled in the winter and they cut all the grass. No water/sewage bill either, and the fee is quite reasonable.
I only make between $45-$55 a year, and my girlfriend only brings in about $10k and we're living quite well!
Buying a condo was the perfect compromise for us, I wouldn't change it if I could.
Wow. This is what I have heard. I appreciate the advice. Its just so strange to have such a hard time finding work when you have experience and good skills. Unfortunately I have set myself up so that I have to move to RI no later than October 15th. Can anyone give me a few positives on living there at least?
And about the temping...does anyone know the best agency to work with? I have heard some bad things about the larger firms-and coming form the staffing industry I know there is a lot of bad representation out there...
I got my start with Occupations Unlimited and my boyfriend with Manpower. I would recommend either to you.
