Serious question. Are prop taxes in RI almost non-existent?

I am looking at a house online (not looking to buy): 7 bed / 9bath... 7800 sq ft .... 7.6 acres. The prop taxes are listed at $2,040 per year. Is that even possible - or is that a mistake?

That is most likely a mistake or the existing party had many write off's and exceptions. I would be a little skeptical. RI has some of the highest property taxes in the country behind NJ IL CT NH VT

Sounds like a $1,299,000 property. Property taxes should be about $17,000-25,000 a year. Sounds like they missed a 0.

What town is it in? Taxes are by town/city. Easy enough to find out.
