Excuse me Mr. "Leader", but this is an anonymous public forum where I am not at all obliged to share my current location or other personal details. Or at least, help me to understand why "you" deserve to be privy to that information.

Let the content of one's posts stand for itself. Anybody truly familiar with Providence and Rhode Island, can vouch for the reliability of my posting vs. some of those who "claim" RI as their domicile.

Unfortunately, some here are so concerned with the value of their local real estate holdings to the point of where they see any unflattering press (even on a forum such as this) as a "threat" to their bottom line. They absolutely do take it personally, and I have no doubt that this is where a much of the resentment stems from.

Remember, the strange "de facto leader" designation was yours, not mine. Your Maine location was by your own admission, not anyone else's invention. Granted, the woods part is only an educated guess. And, you can feel free to continue to post where I live. I have nothing to hide.

And what's your interest in this forum? Own up and own it. You always claim that those who step up to defend the state they love have a veiled financial interest because they own property. As if they couldn't own property here precisely BECAUSE they love it. Ok, so it's public disclosure time. Why does a Maine resident GAF about Rhode Island and only post negative things about a state he's never lived in? You post 25x more here than in Maine and I'm sure you'd admit that's a lowball estimate. its more like 500-1.

Asking for future reference: Normally I would assume that if anyone moved to Maine from MA it was because they loved it.That would explain why they praise it. Are you saying I should ignore that because it's financially motivated?

Sounds like a big game of who came first, the chicken or the egg.

For what it worth I believe you love Maine. I can't blame you, I like Maine too. I dont think youre trying to trick anyone. Why can't you believe that people love RI without assigning nefarious motives?

GeoffD, my posts are on-topic and quite informative. Let's not forget that this has become the most popular thread ever in the history of the Rhode Island forum.

That is correct sir, I once admitted to living in Maine. Just like you once admitted to living in Elmhurst.

Low rent entertainment, of every type, has always been a winner by the numbers. This forum is no exception. Congrats! I hope it gives you great joy.

Needy? It may not be an overstatement to say it's his life.
