I'm meeting some old friends from the East Bay area for dinner this weekend. Instead of doing Providence, I'm considering Bristol (I LOOOVE Bristol and it's close to home for them). Has anyone been to Persimmon? It seems to get good reviews. I know it's not cheap ($60 or so per person) but is the food worth it or should we stick to Providence (our number 1 choice there would be Chez Pascal). What would you do? Thanks!

I think the food is worth it. Don't know though if the setting is your thing, I felt a little claustrophobic in there. And yes, it's not a cheap place to eat but I didn't feel ripped off when paying the bill since the meal was indeed good.

You could do worse.
