West Henrico is,if anything, generally more expensive than the city. With some exceptions...

As a general rule, you get what you pay for. 8-900 is single bedroom territory if you want some place nice. 1200 is rough ballpark for nice 2 bedroom. You can get cheaper, or more expensive, but the usual trade offs will apply

If CL is garbage, what are the alternatives (asking as someone who has been looking for a 3BR+ SFH on CL and hotpads)? Just curious. TIA. OP, GL to you. Sorry for the quick hijack!

CL isn't garbage, its the only game in town... which doesn't mean its great...

Its just tough to find 3br SFH rentals in certain neighborhoods. Also timing matters - availability is low seasonally now, will get better with summer

Thanks for the help everyone.

We are still about 2 months away and still looking for a place. We have a backup place in mind at Copper Springs in Henrico. Havent heard too many bad things, but it is an apt. We would love a town house, but I just dont think its in the cards right now
