Hi all!

I'm moving to Richmond from Austin, TX in July and I was wondering if you could give me some insight into the different Catholic communities in the area. I'm 22 and Catholicism-related things are my primary pastime once I'm out of the 9-5, so I'm preferably looking for a Parish with a good young adult group. On a general level, a lot of people are recommending the Fan, so I'm assuming that since there's a large concentration of young professionals around there, the parishes in the area probably have strong-ish young adult programs right?

I'm just trying to get a feel for the Catholic culture in the area. Also, if any of the parishes have perpetual adoration, that'd be useful too!

Thanks a ton!

Ryan

Me and my wife just joined St. Michaels on Springfield rd, it's very nice and everybody is awesome. Really not near the fan (10 min away) but's it's a very nice church, they have a lot going on and a lot of groups / events for people to participate. They do have Adoration St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Glen Allen, Virginia, in the Richmond Diocese with pastor Daniel O. Brady

Ryan - The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, near VCU at edge of Fan, has a young adult/student group that I think would be perfect for you. Gorgeous place to worship as well.

Awesome, thanks a ton! I'll probably spend a couple of weeks scoping out the area, but I think the Cathedral will be on the top of my list and I'll check out St. Michael's too. Thanks!
