Hello -

In winter, prob 72 to 75 degrees 24/7 for heat with 2 showers a day. In summer, window unit air conditioners on 24/7, prob 65 degrees, also with 2 gas heated hot showers daily.

Does anyone have a guestimate on how much the monthly electric and heat bill for a 1,500 sq ft home in Roanoke city would be?

Thank you for any input!

Also, is it true that Salem has much lower electric bills?

No idea, but if you know the address of the house, you should be able to call the utilities and get the average monthly usage over the past year.

Just for planning purposes but the cost will vary greatly depending on if your
home is well insulated. It sounds like with window a/c you will be spending more in the summer due to no central air(that was my experience recently). Roughly around $200/month for electric and around $50/mo for gas.
