Not many at all venture out of the burbs to visit their own city of Rochester. Making matters worse. How many even heard of Destiny City located in Syracuse? The moral and pride of where Weatern Nyer's live is low. Why is this?

To get the answer to your question, why not look in the mirror? I guess I'll never understand the need for you (and matt, etc) to espose to the whole world, your self esteem problem, while blaming it on the city you live. (If indeed you do live in Rochester)

Yeah, learn to deny reality and claim thinking any different is a personal problem! You should know better, urbanlook!

Hey, From over here in Niagara Falls On. My wife and I love Rochester and we go and stay for a weekend when we feel like a dose of Americana and some good BBQ.

I asked a question not just a question but a legit question in a respectful manner. In reference to my question I get accused of being a different account followed by name calling. The response was ignorant. with that response my question was answered. that must be the normal mentality.

that's just not true at all. I spend most of my time in the city. The only time I'm in the burbs is for more nature related activities. I don't know what destiny city is, but there is a Destiny mall in Syracuse... Not sure what that has to do with anything.

Yes I stand to be corrected regarding the name. Even though it is a mall it is still a nice place to visit in the Westin New York. I feel the marketing of places to visit in Western New York is 2nd thought at best. It seems you do infact stay active. I do not believe that is the norm.

Destiny is awful. It's just another mall and never turned out close to what they were promising. It currently is not something special enough to warrant out of state visitors. King of Prussia barely is either.

I don't agree that a mall is a great destination. With online shopping becoming bigger and bigger, malls will diminish. Also, most of the things you can find at Destiny, I can find here.
The area does a decent job at marketing things such as the finger lakes. I constantly run into out of state visitors while on wine tours.

Like a lot of other things the internet is putting an end too. The finger lakes is a nice vaction destination. How ever the limitations the surrounding areas have too offer limits the vacation. Why is it that rochester is a nice place, but you have to travel for a lot to do?
