Interesting and I'm curious as to if other cities will take exception to this honor.

From the article: "A New York metropolis was named the best city for pizza in the United States. No, not that one.

It's Rochester that has a "pizza" the nation's heart, according to Rent.com's rankings of the top cities in the country.

"This might ruffle some feathers," read the study. "Just six hours up and across the New York State Thruway from New York City is Rochester. The Lake Ontario town is the third-largest in the state with over 200,000 residents. And it ranks No. 1 thanks to some serious cheesy availability."

The analysis didn't necessarily take into account the best tasting pies. It means that pizza is ubiquitous and easily accessible to residents. Each city was scored on three factors:

1. Percentage of pizza restaurants to all restaurants in a city
2. Number of pizza restaurants per square mile
3. Number of pizza restaurants per 100,000 residents

Rochester was a top performer no matter how you slice it. More than 18% of Rochester's restaurants are pizzerias, according to Rent.com. It has four pizza shops per square mile and more than 70 pizza spots for every 100,000 residents, good for second-best in the nation."

Rochester pizza and Buffalo wings. A good combination.

Looks like some good pizza, and a lot of it seems to be a bit more OG Neapolitan vs regular NY Pizza.

Now they just need better Chicago pizza than Chester Cab lol.

When I move there, looks like I’ll be having a lot of pizza. I noticed a fair number of pizza places but didn’t quite understand the history or the breadth of it all.
