Its a shame the only acts they book are Pop-country and Dad Rock.

I've been to a couple country concerts. The fans are very patriotic and respectful.

Maybe they don't want to deal with those from other genres who may get a little crazy at times

They have had concerts from other genres in the past. For instance, the Kings of the Mic tour was there about a decade ago and I believe Diana Ross was there way back.

They usually get many of the same concerts that the St. Joseph’s Amphitheater in Syracuse and SPAC in Saratoga Springs get.

^ A major upgrade was done a few years back. It's a much nicer place now.

Also, most likely, they use the same promoter in those other venues

There was a show there a few years ago that I was interested in seeing, something in the vein of the Lumineers. Possibly Mumford & Sons? I forget, but had I known I'd be missing out on a top ten global amphitheater, I think I'd have made more of a commitment to go

I saw the Moody Blues, backed up by the RPO there, a few years back. Incredible!

Its funny how experiences differ. I stop going to country concerts simply because the other concert goers are some of the most inconsiderate, disrespectful, and self entitled people I've ever encountered. On the other hand, I go to a lot of metal concerts (9 this year) and experienced the complete opposite. Have met some of the most awesome and down to earth people. Including many bands who come out after the show to hang out with the crowd, conversate, and sign autographs.
