You know you live in a small town when all the poll workers greet you by name as soon as you enter the polling place on election day ... but the law says they still have to look at your ID before they let you sign the book (even though they already have it opened to your page by the time you get to the table).
And when the UPS guy has something to deliver, he calls his wife and finds out if there's anything going on in town because he knows he'll find us all there.
Ours generally drops packages off where we work in town or with neighbors or family members who work in town. Beats driving all over the countryside!

You know you live in a small town when it doesn't even have a radio station.
When one of the local doctors home phone number is one digit different from your number and you get his calls frequently.
You know it is even smaller when the patient who gets the wrong number asks you to call the doctor for them and ask him to call them back because its long distance.
Even worse, you actually agree and call the doctor for them and he actually takes the message.
This actually happened to me many years ago when I lived in a small town.
