Please tell me how you made the really final decision to move. One minute I can't wait, then the next I am in a panic and say what am I doing
We REALLY want to go but I don't know how to get past this. We are only in the first stages of going. Making lists of what to take and what to keep, etc.

Where you might move to is less important than why and the how of it all.
Move TO something rather than AWAY from something.

For 99% of people the first hurdle in that how means knowing that you'll have a
reliable means for an adequate income wherever you may end up.

If you have strong ties where you are and a weak prospect for earning enough somewhere else...
an "I am in a panic, what am I doing" feeling is a good natural response that you should respect.

I love moving. (Though I detest packing) I've had 11 houses in as many communities, in four states, in 15 years. I love the adventure of starting fresh in a new place.

My husband cowboys for a living. Free housing almost always comes with the job.
However, that's a real drawback, too. Ie your employer is also your land lord and usually your nearest neighbor...

If you want to move, the actual decision to move is a lot easier if you are planning to start a new job or attending a college/school.

If you are moving withing the same town, the decision to move is a lot easier if you are able to find a place that will allow you to live a more enjoyable lifestyle. For example, you might look forward to your new yard. Or you might look forward to living in a place where you do NOT have a lawn to mow.

As Mr. Rational said above, it helps to move to something rather than away from something.
