There are some very small fishing villiages on the lower eastern shore of maryland where I live..Where my grandparents live is called Hoopersville Maryland...Only has stop signs...It has a church as well, a couple seafood factories too...but Hoopersville has no stop lights, no restraunts, gas stations..etc..

There are quite a few towns in South Dakota that have 100 or less people and even a handful that have less than 20 people. There are a few in southeastern part of SD but more in lesser populated areas of the state.

There are plenty of small townships (not enough people to qualify as a borough) in PA.

Kansas has a lot of small towns like that....

We also have some towns with great names, like Gas and Climax!

The nearest one is Ellis, which is within a couple miles of Sioux Falls and a good 20 miles from me. The town has a couple of elevators and 75 or so people and that is about it. There is one across the Iowa border, Granite, IA. The tiny town has around 15 people and have a threshing show/festival every summer. I can remember going to one when I was nine years old with my grandparents.
