Default MoMoving from Boston - Renting in Sacramento

Does anyone know if there is any problem with renting an apartment online? We would be able to fully pay a short lease upfront. Do most places require that you have jobs in Sacramento or are there any other requirements?

Depending on where you rent - there are a lot of places that are owned by people and they rent them out - those are probably your best bets for finding a rental without a job. Can you offer to pay like 3 months rent up front - to help secure a place?

What areas are you looking to rent? House or apt?

Thanks CityGirl, you are always helpful on the forum. We are renting an apartment and we can afford 3 or more months upfront, we're just wondering if we'll run into problems as we may or or may not have jobs when we move.

Well the best way (in my opinion) is driving around Midtown and just getting the For Rent signs phone numbers

BUT have you tried Craigslist? There are a lot there too.

And offer your resume etc....if they see you are good workers and give lots of cash - some people will take the chance
