Really a shame, we've been down to that park quite often, and this playground is exceptionally popular.

The wooden playground structure at McKinley Park was heavily damaged early this morning, the apparent victim of arson...half of the play structure was destroyed, which makes it unusable, said Assistant Fire Chief Niko King.

Just heard the news. Who would be so cruel as to burn down a playground?

I take my dogs to this park several times a week. The wooden "fort" playground is really popular with the kids. I heard it was built and paid for by volunteers in the community.

Were you living in Sacto when Fort Natomas was burned by arsonists? Same thing. Shameful!

Yeah, I recall being here for that event. Supposedly it was the second time that it was set on fire in a few year period.

I was wondering if it was the same arsonist that lit both of these fires?
