Huh? Why are you creating a second thread with basically the same topic as the first?

LOL ^^^
I see, the "If you don't like the first answer, ask it again with even more question marks!" approach!

You will not last long commuting from Sac to SJ. It is the commute-from-hell. You might as well just park your car on the side of the road and sleep in it. You will blow out a new car in 5 years and end up in one of those fog bank chain-reaction, 100 car and truck crash heaps.

Long Time
You are looking at a 2.5-3 hour commute each way during commute hours. Your best best is to go 80-680

On this thread, the commute is only 15 minutes. On the other one, it was 2.5 to 3 hours of sheer hell. Aren't you glad you started a second thread!??!

My son has played in the state scholastic chess tournament held in San Jose or Santa Clara every year for the past 6 years, and I can't even begin to tell you how mcuh I dread the drive from Davis down there and back on that weekend's Friday and Sunday night. I think I'd shoot myself before trying to do it every day.
