West Sacramento comes to mind. You might use churches as a resource. Take a look here:

I think your housing budget is low for this area unless you rent a room in someone's house.

We have a lot of both Ukranians and Russians in Sacramento. There's a lot that live in the Citrus Heights/Orangevale area. I've heard said that parts of Citrus Heights aren't the best, but I like Orangevale.

I know several Russians that live in the Town & Country area, plus there's a strip mall of almost all Russian stores. That area would probably be within your budget for a small apartment.

Here's a link to Slavic Sacramento, the Russian newspaper here. Can't read it, but maybe there's real estate ads?

I see a ton of Russian people in Roseville. A "ton" to me may not seem a lot to a person of Russian decent. But I do notice quite a few of them at the Pete's in the Roseville fountains.

Rancho Cordova has a huge apartment complex with mostly all Russian/Ukraine people it's right by Cordova High School. Place is called Cordova Meadows. I think 1 bedrooms are around $500-600. I have a friend who lives there with his wife and two kids in a 2 bedroom and I think they pay $650.

Here's a random link I grabbed off Google about the place.

Here's a link to the location on Google.

If you do an internet search (or check the CD homepage), you will see that the greater number of Russians live in Foothill Farms & Carmicheal.

There is also a large population in the Rancho Cardova area, West Sac & Antelope. There are a couple of large Russian churches in those areas that could be a resource for you.

There are a lot of Russian people in Carmichael & Arden Arcade. There are a number of Churches in Sacramento that have large Russian/Slavic congregations, here are a few that I have heard mentioned. You might call or email them to get more information.

Grace Church of Sacramento - Russian Ministry

Slavic Trinity Church : Sacramento, CA
