Default water pirates

What gives all those so-cal farmers the balls to think that we should just cut a canal thats as wide as two football fields out of the Sacramento river before it hits the san jauquin delta to pump a bunch of much needed nor-cal water down to southern california to water crops that are mostly shiped out of the state after harvest.

MOD CUT

Most of the agricultural water use south of the Tehachapi mountains is provide by the colorado river especially in the imperial valley. The CA aqueduct supplies quite a few counties above Bakersfield on it's way to SoCal too.

The CA aqueduct mostly supplies water for domestic use in SoCal, but I think your comments about the peripheral canal are spot on.
