Safeway?

Other than a few donut shops and diners, you're not really going to find 24 hour stuff. The casino/card room on North 16th Street might be 24 hour but I'm not sure.

INK on 28th & N is open until 4 AM, Kasbah on J and 22nd is open until 3 AM, sometimes Pieces on 21st is open until 3:00. Most of the 24 hour restaurants have gone out of business.

dominoe: It's illegal to sell alcohol after 2:00 AM in California, and an old city law dating back to the 1960s prohibits dancing establishments from being open after 2:00 AM.

I'm certain there are parties that go on later than 2:00 AM, but they are mostly underground events or private parties, not established businesses. Most of the fun things in this town kind of require one to hunt around a little bit...my advice is to go to some clubs and ask the people there. Because, yeah, my guess is that the people on this forum are mostly old fuddy-duddies. That, and this forum isn't especially active so you might want to wait more than an hour or two for a barrage of responses. Other than INK and Kasbah, which I mentioned above, nothing comes immediately to mind.

I don't think I have been to Hard Times in ages. There used to be a dance club next door called the Amazon, I was at an after-hours rave there that got shut down by the cops...in 1991.

I am neither old nor fuddy duddy! HAHAHHAHAH! I'm just a parent who gets woken up at all hours of the night and wants as much shut eye as possible

But then when I wasin my 20s and clubbing - I liked last call, it meant I could go home and jump in bed...okay maybe I am a fuddy duddy! :O
