Hello! First of all... Thanks to everyone for all the useful information I've gathered from this forum. It's really helped alot!

My husband and I are planning to relocate to the Salem area and I'll be transferring with Home Depot...I hope! I'm an 18 year associate. The first 10 years in CA and the past 8 in East Texas. I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions of which stores I should try for and those I should leave alone? I understand that there are 14 stores within a 50 mile radius of Salem. We'll be visiting the first week of February and I'm hoping to meet some store managers while I'm there. We can't wait to get back to the west coast and return to the 21st century!

I'm not a Home Depot Associate, but I see no one has answered your post. There are two here in the Salem area. One (in my opinion) is much easier to get to, especially if you are new to the area than the other. That would be the one on Cherry Avenue just off the Salem parkway. There is another one just off of Hwy 22 on the other side of town. It probably depends on where you are looking at living and how close you want to be to work. The one on Cherry Avenue is the newest store if that helps. Good Luck and I hope you find Oregon to your liking.

Oops, I forgot to mention, that 50 mile radius includes Portland so that's probably where most of those stores are located.

dachmom, thanks so much for the reply! I appreciate your input. I'll check out both stores while I'm there. I guess it will come down to which store will take me and what positions they have open. Thank you again!
