city single, got a job at Hill AFB, where to live? (Ogden: apartment, hotel)

For professional reasons it looks like I'm taking a job at Hill AFB. It looks like I'm going to have to find a place to live pretty quick, and would love suggestions of where to start looking for an apartment. (I am not military.)

I currently live in the Seattle and love my neighborhood - I have a yoga studio, library, grocery store, yummy restaurants, and great bars all walkable. I seldom use my car (I vanpooled to work). I had thought that maybe I could live in the Sugarhouse neighborhood of SLC and take the new train (FrontRunner?) but it just doesn't look viable. (Please tell me if I'm wrong about that!)

I did some work out at Hill ca 4 years ago and seem to recall there were cute parts of Ogden, but poking around shows I might be thinking of South or North Ogden? Any suggestions for densely packed urban neighborhoods to target, or at least the next best thing?

Between the thunderous silence here and talking to people I know, it looks like I'm going to try commuting from Salt Lake (by car). Testing this by staying at a long-stay hotel first to see if it's viable, but if it goes well that's the plan.

Try doing an Advanced Search using H AFB as your key word, then search the Utah forum. I saw several posts that might help you.
