Hi,

We've narrowed where we want to live when we relocate out there this summer.

We've decided on The Bountiful area, but would like to stay on the East side (DH is a avid MT biker).

Anyone living in the area or knows anything about, any & all information would be great. Looking to find out about:

Schools - DS is going to be in 7th grade

Neighborhoods - close to, schools, services, shops

Our price would be 350K.

Thanks in advance.

Junior High catchment areas can be seen on this (http://www.davis.k12.ut.us/21381016112136333/lib/21381016112136333/All%20School%20maps/JH%20OVERALL%20SCHOOL%20MAPS%20SY%202011-12%20letter%20size%20for%20viewing%20051011%20for% 20email.pdf - broken link) map from the Davis School District, so it depends where you find a property as to whether they'll be in Bountiful JH, Millcreek JH, Mueller Park JH or even Centerville JH (if you go far enough north).

Remember, the further east you go from Main St, the higher up in the benches you'll end up - some steepish roads if there's a bad winter - from looking at terrain maps on Google Maps, it starts getting steeper somewhere around 1200 E (12 blocks east of Main St, about 1.5 miles).

I suppose it depends which way work is as well - I-15 access at 500 South and 2600 South.

Grocery stores - there's a Smith's Food & Drug at 2399 South Main St, a Smith's Marketplace at 555 South 200 West, a Dick's Market at 2280 South Orchard Dr. Target and Wal-Mart are up the road a couple miles in Centerville.

My DW (born and bred Bountiful) suggests anything east of Highway 89 (so South 500 West and eastwards) is better.

Thanks rallybug! We'll be coming out to look for a place in April. I'll keep this in mind.
