We are not currently living in Utah, but have looked all over the country and decided that Utah is just perfect for us. We want to find a nice place to settle down in, and everyone we met was super friendly and nice. We're huge into outdoors and community, and would like to be a part of an active, progressive place like Park City. (or anywhere in or around Salt Lake)

Teacher has 4.0 throughout high school/college, masters in ed., involved with any science groups she could get into, curriculum input, ELL, special needs, and urban teaching experience, and generally just loves teaching.

If there's anyone with leads on people retiring in any school district, or tips on how to get hired for a science teaching job at the high school level in this area, let us know!

Thank you very much.

Get in line....make sure you have all of the "utah teaching requirements" finalized or completed.
Be prepared to make less money than most states.
Any specialties? Special education teachers seem to be getting hired lately.

All teaching requirements just completed. It will be a pay raise of 3 to 8 thousand dollars from anything here, so no worries on that.

Specialties would be experience in special needs, ELL/ESL, cirriculum, but nothing specific outside of science teaching.

Tooele County has an opening for a high school teacher, but it is located in Dugway. Not really what I think you are looking for. Dugway is rural and not progressive and VERY small.
