I wasn't able to find anything either and don't feel comfortable soliciting my contacts via linked in as we always get spammed by recruiters anyway.

Since you have a aspecialized skill set I'd sugggest speaking with a local recruiting firm that handles finance jobs. I used to work with amber gorham at prince perelson but she has recently moved. I'm sure if you reach out they can provide some valuable insight on the employers seeking your skill set and salary ranges to expect.

I will probably do that and hit up every big financial and large corporate in the area. I have got some time though as my wife doesn't finish for another 9 months or so from her local college in the midwest.

Got more invites to thanksgiving dinner than I do by family back in the UK lol !!

I found www.meetup.com a fabulous site here in Utah. Met lots of friends this way and end upthat we don't use meetup anymore to meet people as we see each other loads (the ones i found have stuff in common with) We join meetup events sometimes like hikes etc. This is the best site ever for getting out and meeting lots of people. Met of my oldest friends this way via the color run that we all participated in the first year i was here (we didnt run lol ) Been here years and they are the best
That is good advice. Both the wife and I haven't put a lot of investment into building relationships within the community. This won't change just with a new location and is something I need to be more proactive. Hopefully, being a longer term location will help spur that on.
