I have just recently moved to Murray, Utah from Dallas, Texas and my fiancee and I are TTC. I am needing to find a good, caring, knowledgable doctor in the area and also one I could try to get into in November or December. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and will possibly need fertility treatment. Does anyone know of a great doctor (possibly female) in the area that you would recommend?

Not too close to you, but I love Dr. Jeanne Gemmell on S. Temple at the corner of E St. (I think). The office is above a bank building. Check to be sure your insurance is accepted. She is very caring.

I know a couple of women who have had PCOS. Have you considered a naturopathic or integrative medicine practitioner as well? They can do testing for heavy metals, etc.

I saw a hormone doctor in Dallas and he was the one who diagnosed me with PCOS. And I have been on metformin ever since. I have never heard about a naturopathic practioner. I would like to find someone who is very knowledgable with PCOS and can help me get pregnant without having to take a ton of meds.

A closer choice to you would be the Women's Center at IMC, the new hospital in Murray. You can call them to ask about who specializes in this. Good luck!
