We would like to stroll along the Riverwalk this afternoon and take the boat tour, but can't stay for the parade. Does anyone know if this is possible or if the area is already closed in preparation for the parade tonight?

It's open and the boats are running. I hope it's not too late to give you an answer. The parade floats are set up at the end of the river bend. Maybe you can get a glimpse of them on the boat tour.

We took a chance and had a great time. The boat tour was fun, we did see a few floats being readied, and we enjoyed a great lunch at County Line. We ended the afternoon at the Alamo and are already making plans for a repeat visit next year.
