Anyone had to replace a rim and use a junk yard? We have a 2007 volvo we need to replace a rim on and heard this was the way to go...

Yep - trick is to actually see the rim coming off the vehicle - if it's got a blown tire on it, chances are good that the rim is toast.

A junkyard may be a tough place to find something like a 2007 Volvo. From my limited experience, two things that are hard to find at local junkyards: foreign-nameplate vehicles, and post-2000 model years.

It has been suggested in another thread that Discount Tire sometimes sell used rims & tires that have been traded in by customers upgrading their factory rims.

Default Volvo junkyard,

I think your chances of finding a 2007 Volvo Rim at a junkyard are very remote.

Try ebay. I've had better luck and cheaper prices.
