Fireworks have always been big here but it has notably increased. Unsure if it is just due to falling prices or a population increase but the last decade has also included smoke on streets that lingers for hours. Before that would never happen.

A few years ago police used to randomly monitor firework stands and pull over those who made a purchase and drove back into the city. It is doubtful they ever caught a large percentage but the news would always report it.

Fortunately we had rain recently and I have not heard of any fires or deaths from falling projectiles including slugs this season. Both a common enough occurrence in our local history.

People are definitely buying ones that burst in huge circles over the sky. From the vantage point of Hilderbrand and Devine you could see the tower had competition because the whole skyline encompassing the East and South sides had those flower bursts.

That first video was also interesting to see Dopo. Your hometown looks pretty by night.
