Well, it looks like "Longhorn Steakhouse" and "Olive Garden" are coming. By the looks of the progress of the building going on, the grand openings may come in March or so. Even though they are chain restaurants, it's nice to have more dining options out here.

Longhorn Steakhouse and Olive Garden? Are you kidding me? More of the same chain restaurants you see all over SA? That is just sad…

And probably more banks, nail salons, mattress stores going to be built there too.

olive garden has 7 locations currently and longhorn has 5 including the new one in new braunfels that is under construction.

compare that to culebra meat market which has 21 locations.

god dang. that is a lot of locations for a crappy LOCAL place.

i will take olive garden and longhorn over local culebra meat market any damn day.

My family are big meat fanatics and we decided to check out a couple of Culebra Meat Markets with my grandma....she said that she's never seen worse meat, anywhere. Not even in the Soviet Union at the end of the 1980's.

Seriously.

The Culebra Meat Market near Rolling Oaks Mall is great! The meats are wonderful and their staff is the best. The turnover in employees is minimal and all employees are helpful and friendly.

I go there quite often and rate them 5 star on a 5 star rating!

You must be refering to the Culebra Meat Market on Nacogdoches Road which runs past Rolling Oaks mall. This one is over by the Big Lots or is it Dollar Tree in the old Kroger's.Haven't tried the place yet,but might just out of curiosity.

I agree. I wish we could bring in more (non-mexican) restaurants that we do not currently have instead more of what we already have.

Maybe adding two restaurants to that intersection will reduce the overflow crowds at BJ's Brewhouse?

I'd like to eat there more often, but the 30+ minute waits on weekends make it difficult to convince the rest of the family to go.

I also suspect that having an Olive Garden closer to Stone Oak will reduce the crowds at the location at 281 and Bitters.
